Otazzo
Otazzo (born Abraham Labastidas Otazo) is a Venezuelan pianist, composer, arranger and music educator, raised in Spain and currently based in the Netherlands.
Classically trained and driven by curiosity, he explores the meeting points between genres, blending the precision of Bach, the colors of jazz, the fire of flamenco, and the rhythms of Latin America and the Middle East.
Trained in both Classical and Jazz Piano at Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam, he performs regularly in a wide range of settings, from chamber music to jazz ensembles. Recent highlights include performing at North Sea Jazz Festival 2025 with the Codarts Big Band, and several appearances at de Doelen and other major venues across the Netherlands.
Through his music, Otazzo seeks to build bridges between tradition and innovation, intellect and instinct, elevating music as the ultimate form of human expression.
