Tim Nevelsteen
Belgian jazz vocalist Tim Nevelsteen moves gracefully between tradition and innovation, his warm, soulful voice carrying both depth and openness. Now based in Rotterdam, where he studies at Codarts University of the Arts, he has become an active presence in the city’s jazz scene, shaping a sound that honors classic jazz sophistication while embracing the freedom and immediacy of today’s music.
Tim sings with an intuitive sense of storytelling — attentive to tone, breath, timing and the quiet spaces in between. In the summer of 2025, he performed with the Codarts Big Band at North Sea Jazz Festival, as part of a Quincy Jones & Frank Sinatra Tribute featuring beloved standards like Fly Me to the Moon and Come Fly with Me.
With an early background in painting, Tim approaches music as a visual art form — blending texture, color and emotion into sound. His voice reflects both reflection and connection: a young artist who gives timeless jazz a vivid, contemporary life.
